Mi Vida Loca is a video series that takes beginner Spanish learners on an adventure in Spain. Along the way, students get exposed to culture, authentic language, and beginning Spanish structures. This packet was created to accompany those videos.
*PLEASE NOTE: THE VIDEOS ARE NO LONGER HOSTED ON THE BBC SITE. You can still access the videos on YouTube, but the experience will be different and I don't have control over the videos or the audio on the videos.*
I designed this packet to allow individual students to stay engaged while watching as a class, and for students watching at home to be accountable. I print out the entire packet, and they keep it for future reference since each episode builds on the ones before. Throughout the series we use the sheets for classroom conversation, review games, and Q&A.
The Activity and Game Packet includes:
-
Activity sheets for every episode, EXCEPT episode 22
-
Answer key for every episode, EXCEPT episode 22
-
21-page packet of extra printable games and activities
-
A teacher's guide with ideas for every episode, EXCEPT episode 22
The activity sheets provide a way to record vocabulary and structures, as well as practice of the concepts introduced in the episode. Mi Vida Loca is perfect for an end-of-the-year review, for homeschool classes for practicing at home, and for students needing remedial help or practice over the summer. Completing the packet would also make for great extra credit! The packet would also provide ample material from which to create conversational Spanish classes or Middle School classes.
I am also posting 22 days of ideas, links, and games to go with Mi Vida Loca on my website so can you find even more ways to get the most out of the series.
**Please note that Mi Vida Loca requires flash, and you may want to confirm that you have the right browser to use it. Safari and/or Internet Explorer generally work better for showing the series. The episodes themselves (not the interactive format) are also available on YouTube for free.**
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Jimma A. says: "My students watched BBC Spanish Mi Vida Loca on you tube. Used this activity alongside. It worked perfect. Great resource."
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Jocabed R. says: "Great resource that I decided to use on a low-key and simpler day. I am thinking of using the remaining episodes on Fridays, for example as we get closer to the end of the school year."
